This years Camp was held at Viney Hill in the Royal Forest of Dean. About 45 Cubs enjoyed a weekend packed full if activities which included kayaking, canoeing, raft building, climbing, cooking, sweet making, games, floating boats.............and yes a very small amount of sleep!

On Saturday 15 March, Monday Cubs spent the morning in the kitchens at Balcarras School where they spent three hours preparing and cooking meals to gain their Chef's badge. The Cubs prepared all the food for the two course meal which consisted of Chicken Breast wrapped in Puff Pastry, New Potatoes, Carrots, Leeks and Broccoli followed by Fresh Fruit Salad.

Vouchers pay for new equipment |

Thanks to the support of parents and friends, we have now received our order from the ‘Sainsburys Active Kids’ programme. The Group now has the benefit of a new microwave, a set of weighing scales, some measuring spoons, four compasses, a set of large safety balls and a book of parachute games.
Many thanks to all those who saved the vouchers – we are now saving the ‘Tesco Sports Equipment for schools and Clubs’ vouchers – keep ‘em coming! |
