To become a full member of Cub Scouts, children need to fulfill the requirements of the Membership Award which is normally carried out over the first four or five weeks: this mainly involves finding out about Cub Scouts and includes learning the Cub Scout Law and Cub Scout promise, which forms part of the joining ceremony we call the ‘Investiture’.
The Cub Scout Promise is I promise that I will do my best To do my duty to God and to the Queen To help other people And to keep the Cub Scout Law
The Cub Scout Law is: Cub Scouts always do their best Think of others before themselves And do a good turn every day
