Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and their Families
Once again we have had a great Scouting year and I know all Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and their families will join me in thanking all our leaders, young leaders and helpers, (all of whom are unpaid volunteers) in making this possible.
Beavers took part in the District Football Competition and a good time was had by all. Although the waiting list is rather large at the moment, this will be opened up to girls from January 2006. Full details can be obtained from Beaver Leader Lynda on 01242 241901
Cub Scouts - congratulations to those lads who took part successfully in the District Chess Competition and the District Football competition. In November, 46 Cubs enjoyed a fun packed weekend. Staying at Slimbridge YHA, they visited the Wildfowl and Wetland Trust, the Waterways Museum at Gloucester Docks (including a boat trip around the dock basin) and finished the weekend swimming at GL1. The programme for Cubs culminated with a very successful evening at Cotswold Bowl in which over 50 cubs took part as wells as leaders.

Scouts - Summer Camp in the Lake District was a great success and 25 Scouts enjoyed activities such as Climbing, Canoeing, Windsurfing, Dragon Boat racing and a day trip to Blackpool pleasure beach. Summer Camp 2006 will be held in North Wales with many exciting activities planned, full details can be obtained from leaders.
If you have any questions regarding girls in Scouting, membership waiting lists or becoming a leader/helper or about anything else please do not hesitate to ring me on 01242 234006.
